Have you heard of galactogogues? I know it sounds like a mouthfull, but if your a breastfeeding momma they can be a total lifesaver. Galactogogues are naturally occuring compounds found in a few foods such as oatmeal, fennel, barley, nuts and seeds, dark leafy greens and chickpeas. Many mothers I counsel struggle with low milk supply, and while low supply can be multi factorial, implementing galactogogues through food sources can give you the added boost you need.

Here’s what you’ll need: (one serving)
1/2 C Rolled Oats
1/2 Milk of Choice (dairy or plant based)
1 Tsp Maple Syrup
Toppings of Choice: berries, nuts, seeds, coconut, flax seed
1. Combine all ingredients in a jar
2. Cover and chill overnight at least 6 hours
3. Add toppings and enjoy!
